What we do

We arrange finance secured against cars, for limited companies and for individuals, with no minimum advance. We are an independent finance company. We are not a lender, we are not a dealer, and we do not sell cars.

This site is about cars, not property

Car equity release means borrowing against a car you already own. It is not equity release on a house, not a lifetime mortgage and not a home reversion plan. Those are regulated products for releasing money from property and we do not offer them or advise on them. If you are looking to release money from your home, the government's free and impartial service at MoneyHelper is the right starting point, not us.

We say this in the terms as well as on every page because the phrase this site is named for is more commonly used about houses than about cars. Advising on a lifetime mortgage or a home reversion plan is a regulated activity. We hold no permission for it, we do not carry it out, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer to.

Regulatory position

Lenzie Consulting Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Finance entered into wholly or predominantly for the purposes of a business falls outside the regulated consumer credit regime. We arrange that ourselves, and the statutory protections attaching to a regulated consumer credit agreement do not apply to it. Consider that before signing anything.

Where an agreement is regulated consumer credit, we do not arrange it. It is arranged through an FCA authorised broker partner, and that firm is responsible for the regulated activity and for any advice given on it. You will be told which of the two routes your case takes, and which firm is handling it, before anything is signed.

Figures on this site

We publish an indicative market value for each of the 92 models covered here, and an advance band of 50 to 70 per cent of that value. Those values are market positions for a model, held in our own dataset. They are not list prices, they are not offers, and they are not a valuation of your car. A lender establishes that figure after inspecting it, and it may be materially different.

Every payment figure published here is arithmetic computed from those values using stated assumptions: an indicative 8.9 per cent over 48 months. Figures are indicative, they are not an offer, and no lender has assessed your circumstances.

Specifications are published for identification only. We check what we publish and we do not warrant it.

Trade marks

Marque and model names on this site are the trade marks of their respective manufacturers. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or authorised by any vehicle manufacturer, by any manufacturer's own finance business, or by any franchised retailer. Those names are used solely to identify the cars against which we arrange finance, across the 16 manufacturers covered here.
